1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Kovention Solutions LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the laws of India ("Company", "we", "us", "our", "Data Fiduciary") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use www.keshoo.com and the Keshoo portal (the "Platform").
We act as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and process your personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law. For users in other jurisdictions, we comply with applicable local data protection laws to the extent required.
We follow principles of data minimization, purpose limitation, and privacy by design.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide

Profile Data
- Name (used for account personalization and invoicing)
- Gender (optional, for language personalization only)
Astrological Data (Required for Services)

Support and Feedback
- Messages you send to support, bug reports, and feedback
B. Information Collected Automatically

- Cookies / Local Storage: Session cookies and/or local storage used to keep you logged in and store preferences
- Security Signals: Failed login attempts, rate limiting, and fraud/abuse detection signals
C. Information About Third Parties
You may enter birth details for individuals other than yourself, including family members, friends, or others. When you do so:
- You represent that you have the legal right to provide this information, or have obtained appropriate consent from the individual
- You accept responsibility for the accuracy and legitimacy of such data
- Keshoo processes this data based solely on your representations; we cannot independently verify consent
We do not use names or directly identifying information in our AI processing—only calculated chart data. This means outputs are associated with "a chart" rather than a named individual.
For minors' data: By entering a minor's birth details, you represent that you are the minor's parent or legal guardian, or have obtained verifiable consent from the parent or legal guardian. You accept responsibility for this data under applicable law.
2A. Lawful Basis for Processing (Legal Grounds)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
| Data Type | Lawful Basis | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Contract performance | Account personalization, invoicing |
| Gender (optional) | Consent | Language personalization |
| Mobile number, OTP | Contract performance | Account creation, authentication |
| Birth details (yours) | Consent | Providing astrological Services |
| Birth details (third parties/minors) | Your consent and representation of authority | Providing astrological Services |
| Payment information | Contract performance, Legal obligation | Processing transactions, Tax compliance |
| Device/log data | Legitimate interest | Security, fraud prevention, debugging |
| Support communications | Contract performance | Responding to your requests |
| Voice recordings (if voice input used) | Consent | Converting speech to text for query input |
| Place search queries | Contract performance | Resolving birth location to geographic coordinates |
You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted prior to withdrawal.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide the Services: Calculate charts and generate outputs
- Authenticate and secure accounts: OTP, fraud prevention, abuse prevention
- Operate and improve the Platform: Performance monitoring, debugging, error resolution
- Communicate with you: Service updates, security notices, transactional messages (e.g., payment confirmations)
- Payments and credits: Process purchases and maintain your Credits balance
AI Training / Model Improvement (Important)
- We do not sell your birth data or use it for third-party advertising.
- By default, we use your data to generate your chart and outputs for you.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified analytics (e.g., feature usage counts, latency, error rates) to improve reliability.
- If we ever introduce an opt-in program to use de-identified user interactions to improve Keshoo's synthesis quality, we will provide clear controls and obtain explicit consent.
AI Processing and Data Separation
When you use our Services:
- Your birth details (date, time, place of birth) are processed on our servers in India to perform astronomical calculations.
- Only the calculated chart data (planetary positions, house placements, derived astrological metrics) and your age are transmitted to AI systems for narrative synthesis.
- Your name, exact birth date, birth time, birth location, and other directly identifying information are NOT sent to third-party AI providers.
- This architectural separation is designed to protect your privacy while enabling AI-powered interpretations.
Third-Party AI Providers: We use third-party AI services for narrative synthesis. These providers' data processing is subject to their respective privacy policies and data processing terms. Calculated chart data sent to these providers is not linked to your identity.
Voice Input Processing
If you use the voice input feature, your audio recording is transmitted to a third-party speech-to-text service solely for conversion to text. Only the audio recording is sent — your name, birth details, mobile number, and other account information are not shared with this provider. The resulting text transcript is then processed as a standard text query. Audio recordings are not stored by Keshoo or transmitted to any other third party after transcription is complete.
Birth Place Lookup
When you search for a birth location, your search text is sent to a third-party geocoding service to return matching locations and geographic coordinates. No other personal data is included in these requests.
4. "No Selling" Policy
We are explicit:
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not rent your birth details.
- We do not share your personal data with data brokers.
